Tourism


The Sultanate enjoys a spectacular nature, rich history and ancient civilization. Therefore, tourism is one of the main sectors contributing to the economic development the Sultanate has been witnessing.

The integrated mechanism, adopted by ISFU with the partners in the private sector and the relevant entities, has contributed to conducting continuous interactive sessions and forming advisory committees that help in finding effective solutions that would significantly contribute in developing the sector.

ISFU focuses on enhancing the business environment in tourism and finding solutions to make the sector more attractive for the work forces. In addition, it works on enabling the private sector to play a vital role in the economic and social development, through developing and investing in the Sultanate’s tourism capabilities and resources. Following are the main tourism projects that ISFU supports:

1. Promoting investment in heritage sites Harat Al Bilad Harat Al Yemen Harat Al Sibani 2. eVisas and the facilitation of new markets 3. Enabling adventure activities 5. Facilitation of tourism mega-projects, in particular Al Mouj Muscat Oman Riviera Port Sultan Qaboos water front development 4. Promoting investment in eco-tourism Qurum Nature Reserve Al Huqf GeoPark Al Saleel National Park
